Annotation: The film is about the childhood of Aleksandr Tvardovsky, an outstanding Soviet writer.
History: The film draws upon the Central State Archive of Cinema and Photo Documents of the USSR, the Smolensk regional museum, archives and private individuals. The film is a poet Konstantin Vanshenkin.
Film description: Landscape Smolensk region: a field, river, cows graze in a meadow, children riding in a cart through the field, through the old bridge. View village, rural smithy. Winter rural landscape: forest, river, field. Haymaking on the farm. The ferry sails on the river, the children are swimming in a river. In the film uses newsreel shots of the Great Patriotic War, filming of rural life peasants of Russia 20-30-ies, the types of Moscow 30-ies.
